Summer is an awesome time to enjoy the outdoors, together with family, having fun with friends – familiar and new. Camp is a great experience for many, old and young. An opportunity for hiking, swimming, camp fires, singing, making friends, leading a group, . . . What are your memories of camp?

Many enjoy day camps or overnight camps. The Mennonite Church has amazing camps – Fraser Lake Mennonite Camp, Hidden Acres Mennonite Camp, Ontario Mennonite Music Camp, Silver Lake Mennonite Camp, Willowgrove Day Camp. Check them out on MCEC’s Website.

Breslau Mennonite Church offers a wonderful Summer Camp, August 15-19 for children enter SK to Grade 6. The theme this year is “Inside Out”. Click here to learn more about the summer theme.

Listen to the words of campers, staff, and parents:

Camp is a world within itself that brings a sort of comfort and safe haven for many children. Camp allows for kids to grow confidence and truly explore who they are and not be told by others who they should be.

Camp has allowed me to express myself without worrying about what others think. It has provided me with a safe environment to express myself where I am surrounded by an extremely supportive family. I don’t know where I’d be without camp but I do know that I would not have nearly as much confidence and joy in my daily life without it.

After going to camp for several years I have come to the realization that camp is a place where you will always be accepted and feels like home away from home. It is this that has allowed me to become a more open and confident individual.

Camp took me in with welcome arms during a hard time in my life, and I’m forever grateful for that.

Enjoy a fun-filled summer season!
