‘Tis the season of angels:
- Angels appearing to Zechariah in the temple promising him a son.
- Angels appearing in a dream to Joseph, and separately to Mary announcing the coming of the saviour.
- Angels appearing to the shepherds, guiding them to the place where Jesus was born.
- Angels guiding a young family’s way as they ran for safety in Egypt.
‘Tis the season of angels, of God’s messengers bringing hope, joy, peace, and love to the world.
‘Tis the season when we join in the work of the angels – in the work of God’s messengers. Bringing good news to world, celebrating the birth of a saviour, and receiving God here among us.
In this season, in this hectic and violent world, may we join in the work of God, in the work of the angels, and offer hope, joy, peace, and love to the world.
‘Tis the season of angels, but this story is just beginning…
