Happy Advent
It’s an exciting time of the year, with the sights, sounds, and smells of Christmas. Advent is a season in the Christian church. It’s about waiting. Waiting for the Christ child. Advent is such a beautiful time to remember God’s love is for all people, for all of creation. The Christmas story included the lowly shepherds who, in their own time, were regarded as being at the bottom of the social and economic ladder. The story also included devout and faithful folk like Joseph and Mary, the wise and mysterious visitors from afar, the fearful Herod, the hospitality of animals in a barn, and a bright star guiding the way.
God is everywhere and with us all. This is Good News. What is the Christmas story asking us to see more clearly?
