Lent 2015 – Upside Down & Inside Out

Posted on: March 10th, 2015 by Breslau Mennonite Church

The word “Lent” comes from the old English word meaning “spring”, a reference to the season at Easter time and also an invitation to a spring time for the soul. Forty days to cleanse the system, forty days to live by the grace of God, forty days of fasting and feasting.

What does renewal look like for you? What does renewal look like for the church? God loves us just as we are, yet God turns our expectations and understanding inside out and upside down. This may be precisely what is needed, to not settle but rather to grow more spiritually.

Join us for Lent and Easter worship, fellowship, and Christian education as we reflect and respond to the Lent theme of “Upside Down & Inside Out”.
